The Organizing Committee on behalf of the Italian Ice Sport Federation has the honour to invite you to participate at the “14thALTA VALTELLINA TROPHY” (open to Senior) to be held November 3rd - 6th, 2005 at the Ice Stadium Bormio/
Italy
. The competition is open for all Nations and Clubs being members I.S.U. There are no restrictions in the amount of entries unless we inform you contrary.
TRACK
The track is an artificial refrigerated indoor ice surface with the measures of 30x60 meters, protective padding will cover the boards. The standard track
111,12 meters
to the lap with measured curves of
8,50 meters
and there will be 7 markers used to establish the curve. The length of the straight is 28,85m. Besides the original track there will be 4 tracks set up to preserve good ice conditions. For all tracks one finish line will be used.
GENERAL REGULATIONS
The competition will be held under the rules of I.S.U. concerning the paragraphs for Short Track Speed Skating. The organizers reserve the right to change the programme due to unforeseen circumstances.

DISTANCES
Junior A - B: 1500m - 500m - 1000m - 1500m final
Junior C: 1000m - 500m - 1500m final
Junior D: 1000m - 500m - 1000m final
Senior: 1500m - 500m - 1000m - 3000m final
Relay races: Junior A-B-C-D 2000m. (three skaters); Senior & ladies 3000 m.; Senior men heats and semifinal 3000 m., Final 5000 m.
RELAY
Each relay must be composed by athletes of the same Nation; so if a Team hasn’t so many atheletes to compose a relay, this Team can borrow some other athletes from a team (National Team or Club) coming from its same Nation. Junior C and Junior D could compete together; Junior A and Junior B could compete together. Each Senior relay must be composed by Senior athletes. In case of a lack of Senior athletes, a team (National Team or Club) can enroll in a Senior Relay a maximum of 2 Junior A athletes of its same Nation.

AWARD of PRIZES
Prize for the first - second and third classed in the final results for each category - ladies and men. Prize for the first - second and third classed in the relay - ladies and men. During award ceremonies, the skaters should be in club or National track suits.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Doctor and paramedical personnel will be present at the competition days (also during the warm up). An ambulance will be on standby in case of need.
CITIZENSHIP/RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS AND CLEARANCE
PROCEDURE
In accordance with Rule 109 of ISU Communication n° 1117, all skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate.
MEDICAL INSURANCE
It is the sole responsibility of each Member, on behalf of its participating clubs, to ensure or provide medical and accident insurance for their athletes. Proof of such shall be requested by the Organizing Committee. See Rule 119.
LIABILITY
In accordance with Rule 119, the Organizing Committee assumes no responsibility with respect to medical, bodily or personal injury or property loss or damage sustained or caused in connection with this Competition.
ACCOMODATION
All participants should bear their own expenses for accommodation (Board & Lodging). The reservations must be made directly through the Organizing Committee before October 4, 2005, at the latest and should contain all the information requested in the “ACCOMODATION FORM” here enclosed; After having received all the reservation, the Organizing Committee will communicate the name of the hotel assigned. All the hotels are 3 stars hotel.
The Organizing Committee will provide accommodation with full board at the following prices:
Single Room: Euro 67,00
Double Room: Euro 57,00
Three beds Room: Euro 55,00
per day per person (water included) : (no credit card accepted)
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation from
Milan
(Linate or Malpensa or other airports) to Bormio and back can be pre-arranged. The cost of the round-trip is €. 450,00 for a max. 8 passengers for each minibus.
ENTRIES
Preliminary entries, with provisional names, must be submitted by October 4th, 2005 at the latest and should contain all the information requested in the “PRELIMINARY ENTRY FORM” here enclosed.Final entries must be submitted by October 28th, 2005 at the latest and must contain all the information requested in the “FINAL ENTRY FORM”.(Forms must be written in block-letters).
ENTRY FEE €. 10,00 per athlete (F.I.S.G. Rule)
TRAINING
On request the Organizer provides ice training for three or more days before the competition at the cost of € 90,00, taxes included, for 50 minutes.
